During college, a professor suggested that Jennifer write an essay on yoga and meditation. This experience sparked an immense interest that eventually led to a life changing path and the study of yoga. Through her practice she realized that she had developed the skills to navigate the turbulence of life’s hardships.
Jennifer’s journey led her to become an LMU certified Yoga Therapist and ERYT-500. In teaching for almost two decades, her experiences include leading 200 and 300 hour teacher trainings, taking students to Costa Rica and Bali for retreats, teaching at yoga festivals across the country and working with professional athletes. She has also appeared on HBO’s Hard Knocks and created the DVD, Yoga for Cyclists and Everyone Else.
Jennifer believes in the transformative power of yoga through physical practice, self-study and contemplation. It is through these methods that she aides her students on their path to health and contentment. She understands that a different set of skills is necessary for each person to succeed and adapts a unique approach to each individual.

Testimonials
"I
have always loved taking class from Jen, I walk away from class
feeling more relaxed, more peaceful and more flexible. Taking
a private class where the focus is on your issues, your body,
takes it all much further. Jen taught me a sequence of poses
that she created specifically for me and the issues I have with
my body. I do this sequence often and I believe among other
things it has helped to slow the deterioration of my hips. To
have a teacher work with you one on one is fantastic. You have
a chance to learn more about alignment and what a pose is meant
to do. You have time to feel the benefit of the poses. I feel
the personal attention has enriched my own yoga practice as
well as my practice in class." - Ruth Piper
"An
injury from long distance running, compounded by an automobile
accident, created a back condition that has caused me pain,
sometime debilitating, for over 20 years. For years I worked
with chiropractors and massage therapists which resulted in
minimal, temporary reduction of pain. When I finally discovered
yoga, I began seeing some limited relief. But it wasn't until
I began taking classes from Jennifer that I actually began seeing
a permanent improvement. I have now taken Jennifer's classes
for over two years. Once I began utilizing the positions that
she teaches in Yin Yoga, on a regular morning basis, my back
pain has been reduced to a negligible occasional twinge. For
the first time in over 20 years, I am virtually back pain free.
My spinal condition will forever be a part of my body. But Jennifer's
knowledge of kinesiology and anatomy, as it relates to yoga
and stretching, has enabled me to strengthen and lengthen the
muscles and eliminated the pain. Thank you, Jennifer!"

…"you trick people. You get them so nice and warm and
into their breath that they don't realize how hard it is! I
know that’s the truth for me. Sometimes I don't feel as ready
or warm in other classes and hence the "difficulty"
seems to increase. You do such a awesome job of combining breath
with movement and thoughtful work it is always a challenge for
me!" – Natalie Rose
